How do we get there?
American Airlines: Direct from Miami most days of the week and direct from Charlotte on Saturdays
Delta Airlines : Direct from Atlanta several days of the week
Air Canada: Direct from Toronto on Saturdays
Bahamas Air: Direct from Nassau once or twice daily
Western Air: Direct from Nassau twice daily
Do you have a boat?
No, but there are many options for boat trips, whether fishing, snorkeling or just cruising around and visiting fun spots (see the Exuma Guide). Our caretaker can help you with arrangements with this.
Where are the nearest hospitals?
There is a hospital in Georgetown and a private clinic just North of Georgetown that can look after your basic medical needs.
Exuma Community mini-hospital is located 10 minutes from our rental.
Should we rent a car?
Yes, we recommend renting a car while visiting Exuma. The island is relatively easy to navigate, with one main road running much of its length. Just remember that driving is on the left, watch for potholes and take your time on uneven roads. Several rental-car companies are available at the airport, and an SUV may be helpful for exploring some of the island’s rougher roads. Additional information is available in our Exuma Guide.
Is there internet and TV?
Yes. The villa includes Wi-Fi, which is generally reliable, along with a smart TV and Netflix. A limited number of local and U.S. network channels may also be available through the antenna.
Are there any bugs?
Like many tropical destinations, Exuma has sand flies—often called no-see-ums—that are most active around dawn and dusk, particularly when there is little wind. Bug spray or baby oil can help, and we recommend keeping the doors and windows closed so they do not get inside the villa.
Is catering available?
Catering in the villas may be arranged through our caretaker. They have several delicious options they can present to you based on your food preferences and budget.
